A glossary of common terms you will find within the game and on the forums

ANFO

Ammonium Nitrate / Fuel Oil. A type of explosive that can be mined and subsequently used for mining. In Mine Things, it is the purple explosive. Expected finds: about 60 items.

BLU-82

Nicknamed the "daisy cutter" in Vietnam and in Afghanistan, the BLU-82 is a 15,000 pound conventional bomb. In Mine Things, it is the orange explosive that can be mined and subsequently used for mining. Expected finds: about 150 items.

Bounty Hunter

Sea profession. See hunter.

BPH

Buckets per hour - The rate at which your mining bot is digging. It can be increase by equipment, another mine or gadgets. On average it takes 180 buckets to get an item. Normally when someone refers to their BPH, they are talking about the combined value for all of their active mines.

Bubble

A convoy of vehicles traveling along the same route. The outer vehicles carry low value items, protecting the higher value items in the center. E.g.

V1 V2 V3 V4 V5 V6 V7 V8 V9 V10 V11

If V1 to V11 are vehicles, the high value items could be placed in V6. Pirates or highwaymen attacking from either end of the “bubble” would not be able to engage V6. This works best with more vehicles, and if all the vehicles are the same type (or at least traveling at the same speed). See Bubble for more details.

Burbana

A city in Aso within the game. A vehicle must be purchased before this city can be accessed by new players.

C-4

The red explosive that can be mined and subsequently used for mining. Expected finds: about 20 items.

Cissna

A city in Aso within the game. A vehicle must be purchased before this city can be accessed by new players.

Credits

Used only in the game shop, credits can be bought with real money, earned by providing services to the game or earned by returning mines to the game. They can, amongst other things, provide a quick route to purchasing new mines and additional inventory. See also Gold.

Daigard

A city in Aso within the game. A ship must be purchased and 10 melds achieved before this city can be accessed by new players.

Dynamite

The green explosive that can be mined and subsequently used for mining. Expected finds: about 2.2 items.

Exoskeleton

A piece of mining Equipment that has been replaced by the mine cart.

Factory

A factory must be constructed by a manufacturer in his/her home city, and requires 20 ore and 9000 components to build. Factories can produce improved mining robots, aircraft, repair damaged items, and many other things.

Gadgets

Gadgets can be mined and, for a limited time, provide a boost to a player’s stats or give new features not available by other means.
